Vancouver New Music partners with the Accordion Noir Festival for the festival’s closing night show featuring the much-anticipated appearance of Miss Murgatroid, a pioneer of avant-experimental accordion. Her performance marks the end of a ten-year musical hiatus, during which time she built a career as a photographer and directed music videos for Cake and The Decemberists. The evening includes performances by Sick Boss, featuring accordionist Tyson Naylor alongside JUNO-award winning guitarist\composer Cole Schmidt and cellist Peggy Lee, and a special cabaret performance by Elliot Vaughan and Elysse Cheadle.
