One-Page Score Project: Blazich, Hamilton, Li / O’Fee

Notes from Daniela O’Fee:
Sources: voice, extended piano techniques and field recording of a stream running through the ancestral lands of Tḱemlúps te Secwepemc.

Saturated in complimentary colours, the score captures the life force of five regenerated cellular orbs circulating among layers of organic matter, bursting through a central ecstatic figure and encountering sporadic geometric gates. Using the orientation presented by the creators, I roamed the plane loosely from left to right, choosing open sonorities that invite cyclic renewal while overcoming the confines of metallic timbre and linear rhythm.
