The real art occurs in the imagination. Then the work begins. The tools are whatever we can get, beads or pixels, hunting bows or an orchestra.” – Buffy Sainte-Marie

For this special concert, Plastic Acid Orchestra performs visionary orchestrations inspired by works by Emily Carr, and music by Buffy Sainte-Marie and Veda Hille, arranged by Giorgio Magnanensi and Ford Pier. Featuring as well the premiere of a new work by Martin Reisle and Elliot Vaughan, this concert unfolds in an ever changing and kaleidoscopic sonic and poetic world.

A prelude to the upcoming celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Confederation, this is also a resounding reminder that the power of imagination is a real force and that creativity, poetry and music can be real agents of change.
